Language instruction in German as a Foreign Language (Deutsch als Fremdsprache - DaF) at ABC is held in monthly course sequences. One lesson unit lasts for 45 minutes. The maximum number of participants per course is 10 people. It is always possible to join a course, which is already running. For this purpose students will be assessed in non-binding trial lessons. A decision with regard to acceptance will be made by the course teacher after consultation with the school director. If the participant is accepted in a course, fees will be payable for the trial lesson, otherwise the trial lesson is free of charge. Trial lessons are unnecessary for ‘Beginners Courses' without previous knowledge. Payment of the registration fee in conjunction with the signature of the  participant and/or participant's representative on the registration form are required for valid course registration. The registration also documents the unreserved recognition of these terms and conditions on the part of the person registered. Unless arranged otherwise in writing, course fees are the responsibility of the registered participant. For continuous courses over an indefinite period, 30 days notice of termination of participation to the end of the calendar month is required.

Participants in special courses to prepare for external DaF Examinations (e.g. Entrance exams for Studienkolleg, DSH, ZMP and the like) who fail to pass the examination may participate free of charge in the respective course to prepare for the re-sit examination. This is providing they have completed the entire preparation cycle and have passed ABC's own final test.

Cancellation or transfer of course participation for a later date is subject to a fee and is possible up to one month (30 days) prior to course commencement. Thereafter it will be necessary to complete a new registration. The registration fee is non-refundable. Course fees payable will depend on the fees for the course to which the transfer has been made. Registration is non-transferrable. A separate registration will have to be completed for each participant. Self-booked and Company Internal Courses are subject to separate course agreements. As far as there is no written declaration by a third party to assume course fees, the course participant will be liable in all cases for payment of the course fees. Course fees are payable monthly in advance.

In the case of late payment of course fees, the school director reserves the right to exclude the non-paying participant from the course until arrears have been paid in full. Course fees are payable monthly until the expiry of notice to terminate the course (30 days to the end of the month).
